The red thread of fate is an East Asian belief originating from Chinese legend and is also used in Japanese legend. According to this myth, the gods tie an invisible red string around the ankles of those that are destined to meet each other in a certain situation or help each other in a certain way. Often, in Japanese culture, it is thought to be tied around the little finger.
The two people connected by the red thread are destined lovers, regardless of time, place, or circumstance. This magical cord may stretch or tangle, but never break.
Oh, the ties that bind us.

Age 104 year old man and his age 100 wife, they are poor. They have been married for 81 years and they never got to take a picture together on their wedding day. So when she finally tried on the wedding dress, he was so happy to hug her, and told her how beautiful she was.

Maybe this is what the Mayans predicted. Not an asteroid or a solar flare; but, then end of what we are. We no longer cherish life or other people, even the earth or the animals & resources put in it. War, genocide, abuse, senseless mass murders, animal cruelty, gluttony, greed, waste, and lust… Look around you. The end of the world is already here.
